ETC LTD - part of the Unlocking Potential Group has been invited to deliver additional services to women ex-offenders who are not eligible for the Work programmes. We will build on the activities supported by the Big Lottery GOING HOME project to develop accredited training programmes to encourage women in their development towards employment.
Did you know?
- Of the 87,573 people held in prision, 4,195 of these are women (accurate on 29th October 2011)
- Today women receive more severe sentences for less serious offences
- 59% of women held on remand do not go on to receive a custodial sentence
- 8,000 children a year have their living arrangements disrupted by their mother going to prison
