Floating Outreach Worker - Full Time

Job description:

You will join a busy team at Gibran UK Ltd to contribute to the overall successful delivery of the BIG Lottery Funded project STAYING HOME.

This post will deliver services on an outreach basis. Our head office is in Monmouth, we have bases in Cardiff and Swansea you will be expected to travel into the offices as necessary to meet with the team (this is usually twice a month) however a majority of your work will be out in the community. This role may require travel around Wales and occasionally outside of Wales (i.e. conferences, events, visiting HMP Eastwood Park).

The aim of the STAYING HOME Project is to divert women and men away from crime at the earliest possible point and support those already involved in crime to improve and rebuild their lives.

Expected to achieve:

Contributing to the successful delivery of Staying Home by delivering innovative support solutions to reduce levels of re-offending amongst men and women in Wales.
  • Contribute to the national commitment to reduce re-offending rates
  • To provide a range of social, emotional and practical support to our clients
  • Provide advice and guidance to ex-offenders and those at risk of offending to enable and empower them to make informed decisions about their lives
  • Improve the confidence, wellbeing and self-esteem of offenders in Wales
  • Enabling men and women offenders currently on ‘remand’ to have access to information, advice and guidance, improving their resettlement
  • Contribute to the delivery of a Community Payback Scheme for women
  • Assist in developing and delivering early diversion schemes for offenders in Wales
  • Support volunteer ex-offenders and those at risk of offending in their roles
  • Develop suitable support services for prisoners on remand
  • Improve access to support and mental wellbeing services

STAYING HOME Admin and Data Monitoring Assistant - Part Time - Fixed Term Contract

Salary: £18,000 (pro rata), Part Time 14-16 hours

Job description:

You will join a busy team at Gibran UK Ltd to contribute to the overall successful delivery of the BIG Lottery Funded project STAYING HOME.

You will work on the project assisting the management and team with administration and clerical tasks.

You will be based at our Llandarcy Office. You may very occasionally be required to travel around Wales as part of this role.

Duties and responsibilities may include:
  • Data entry clerk for monitoring project outcomes and indicators, and producing regular updates for the Management Team.
  • Liaising with staff to ensure outcome measurements are completed regularly
  • Keeping records and developing office systems in our Llandarcy
  • Carrying out follow up and consultation with our clients to evaluate our service
  • Contributing towards developing an evidence base for informing future work
  • Assisting with the internal and external evaluation of the Staying Home project
  • General: Minutes, Letters, e-mails and newsletters, Covering the office telephones
  • Assisting in the organisation of meetings, including confirming dates, sending information to attendees, booking rooms and ordering refreshments
  • Develop suitable support services for prisoners on remand
  • Organising events and training courses, including the preparation of training packs
